Film premieres in Australia

A film about Michael Milton's attempt to complete a 50km
ultra-marathon in the Blue Mountains last year has had its Australian
premiere.
Best Foot Forward follows Milton's preparations for the
2017 Ultra-Trail Australia race and his progress on the day. It is
one of nine films featured in the Trails in Motion International Film
Festival that has already travelled through Europe, the US, South
Africa and Canada.
It had two screenings ahead of the 2018 Ultra-Trail Australia
event in the Blue Mountains.
"It was so cool to finally show Best Foot Forward to
Australian audiences and the fact that it premiered in the Blue
Mountains is perfect. It was like coming home," said Milton.
Dates have recently been announced for 17 screenings across the
country and Milton hopes to get to at least some of them.
"There are two screenings in my home town of Canberra so I won't miss
those but I hope to also get to Sydney and Wollongong," said Milton.
The film was produced by Red Gadget Films from
Canberra. Lead camera operator Adrian Muscat accompanied Michael on
many training runs and was one of four who ran the whole course with
Michael.
"While you're watching me run on crutches, think of Adrian who spent
a lot of it running backwards, holding the camera," Milton said with
a laugh.
