Mark Webber Challenge

Posted: 20/10/2008

Hi All

Well I have been a little slack on the BLOG since my return from China but I have not been slack on the training side of things.

The K's are ramping up for the Mark Webber challenge. The event will be about 280km over the 5 days involving Mtn biking, running, Kayaking and some mystery stages.

Training is going well with my teammate for the race Tony Bond. We are off to Windsor, NSW this weekend for a one day race and our Team "Toyota" will have an extra member (my sister) for this event. I am sure it will be a tough day and I look forward to learning as much as possible.

My training has been as always up and down. I am doing my best to fight the temptation of doing too much training on the bike (fun training) and too little on my weakest leg the Run (boring training). I have done a couple of Kayak sessions but I think that will actually be our strongest leg so doesen't need too much work.

I am also very excited about the impending birth of our 2nd child. It will be due on the 12th of November.

I will endeavour to keep this up to date about once a week.

MM

Michael:

Too much is sometimes too much...learn to say "no" even to yourself sometimes. Rowdy is coming...save yourself at least for that.
