LOOKS like Michael Milton will be seeing a very different doctor in September when he takes on one of Australia's most popular mountain biking events.

The Angry Doctor, at Mogo on the Eurobodalla Coast in NSW on 12-13 September, is only in its third year but already legendary among mountain bike riders.

According to the website, The Angry Doctor "..will rip your legs off but it will be worth every bit of pain." Numbers are strictly limited to 1000 and the event sold out in just four days.

Milton said he is looking forward to not only riding the distance but also keen to take on the climbing.

"Over 100km we will climb 2850m. That's awesome and really tough. I can't wait," said Milton who has enjoyed mountain biking for years.

"I have been doing a lot of mountain biking lately, mainly around Canberra. The mountain biking legs were my strongest when I did the Mark Webber Challenge in November and I'm really looking forward to being in a race environment again."

The fastest riders are expected to complete the 100km course in around four-and-a-half hours.

"I won't be taking it to the fastest guys but I will be going hard," said Milton.
