Michael's career as a motivational speaker had grown into a good business when he was diagnosed with cancer in July 2007.

'We cancelled six months worth of work in one afternoon. I hated letting my clients down but my health took priority,' explained Milton who, with wife Penni, owns and operates their own company, One More Mountain.

Now the couple are working hard to revive Milton's speaking career and are relying on media generated by his entry in the Australian Track Championships to bring in the bookings.

'Michael is almost ready to speak about his latest battle with cancer. Emotionally it's not easy for him but he believes talking about it openly will be an important milestone. I think his story is captivating and he has learned some invaluable lessons that he can share with others,' explain Penni.

Milton will speak at a number of ACT schools in coming months.

'Schools are a great place to try out new presentations. Kids are pretty unforgiving and they don't feel the need to laugh if you're not funny,' said Milton with a smile.
