The recent Million Paws Walk was Canberra's best yet with 6000 people and
more than 3000 dogs walking around Lake Burley Griffin to help raise
$90,000 for the RSPCA.
Michael Milton lead the walkers and their dogs out on the lakeside walk
that took in some of the country's most beautiful scenery and most
important buildings, including both Houses of Parliament, the National
Library and the High Courts.
It was a glorious Canberra winter monring and, although it was raining the
day before, the sun shone all day which encouraged a record number of
participants to get out and enjoy the weather.
Funds raised included $3000 from an auction of kennels paitned by
celebrities including one by Milton called 'Milto's Whine Bar'. Michael
also took part in the celebrity agility challenge with his mother's
much-loved border collie, Savvy.
