Michael Milton travelled to Sydney in December to speak at only the fourth educational session for the new Oesophageal and Stomach Cancer Alliance.
This new organisation is focussed on providing ongoing education and support to survivors, their carers and their families. The OSCA website is currently in production and due to go live soon.
Although Michael welcomes the chance to share his experience of Oesophageal Cancer, it is a real challenge.
"I guess I'm in the denial phase. It's been over three years now and I am just getting on with life and mostly trying to pretend it all never happened.
"It's hard for me to talk about it but, as a survivor, I have an opportunity to perhaps help others clarify a few things. It was such a frightening and awful time," explained Michael.
