The Australian Anti-Doping Sports Authority has released an updated version of its Pure Performance in Sport DVD, featuring Michael Milton as one of three presenters.
The DVD is designed to provide essential anti-doping information for athletes and support personnel. Milton and fellow presenters Olympic swimmer Nicole Livingstone and AFL player Barry Hall, cover topics including prohibited substances and methods, the testing process and therapeutic use exemptions.
In the three years since the original program was produced, thousands of copies have been sent to athletes, coaches and support staff. Richard Ings, Chair of the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority, says it's been enormously successful.
"The Pure Performance in Sport DVD is a vital part of our anti-doping education program, allowing athletes access to anti-doping education when it suits them. Regional sports particularly benefit from this resource and, thanks to the assistance of our presenters like Michael, our athletes are hearing the anti-doping message from one of our most successful Australian athletes."
