I've been truly fortunate enough to have interviewed Michael Milton since 1994 on radio station RPH in Adelaide. His story is inspiring! incredible! uplifting! As an interviewee he's "perfect"! He always answers questions! His answers are long enough and have enough detail to be entertaining, informative and interesting, his achievements are remarkable! He can make them sound so without one listening thinking that he's bragging! At the same time he always gives you a chance to ask him to expand on his answers or pursue other angles to his extraordinary story!
Having spoken to him on many occasions both on and off air I am so appreciative at his willingness to speak at any time! I'm sure there would have been occasions when he'd rather be doing something else, even if that may have been nothing! One would never pick up on that when hearing Michael speak! Given his exceptionally busy life, combining training, competing, family duties, (he's the quintessential family man), his popular and very well received speaking engagements, it's a real testament to his character his preparedness to always make himself available!
I consider it a real privilege and honour to have been able to interview Michael! I wish him well in Beijing and look forward to many more inciteful and rivvetting interviews in the future!
Michael's "story" has many more chapters to go! It'll be great to have the opportunity to have Michael speak with his infectious enthusiasm and passion for whatever he's tackling! His commitment to his sport, family and literally living his life to the fullest makes doing an interview with him on a radio program a wonderful reason for going to the station!
