UVEX ALONG FOR A NEW RIDE
To Michael Milton the skier Uvex was an important sponsor, supplying him with the world's best ski goggles and sunglasses. When he switched to cycling Uvex remained on board, this time as provider of world-class racing helmets.
'It's a lucky twist of fate that Uvex is involved in skiing and cycling. Their road and time trial helmets really are the best you can get and I'm sure other cyclists wondered how I could land such a big sponsor so early in my career,' said Milton with a laugh.
A popular brand in Europe, Uvex is just emerging in Australia, although the company's range of ski goggles can be found in almost any skiwear retail outlet.
Uvex also sponsors the Australian (able-bodied) Track Cycling Team.
