SUNDAY 9 SEPTEMBER 2007: Michael Milton and his partner of five years, Penni Lewer, were married yesterday in a ceremony at their home in Canberra in front of a small gathering of family and friends.
Guests had travelled from as far as Brisbane and Adelaide to attend first birthday celebrations and a Naming Ceremony for the couple's daughter Matilda. Mid-afternoon Milton surprised family and friends by announcing he and Penni would marry that day.
The couple will have a two day honeymoon in Sydney before Milton's surgery for Oesophageal Cancer on 22 September.
