How technical were the mountain bike legs?
This is a shot going up a steep climb coming out of a river crossing. You can see Chris, Tim and Wayne taking the soft option and walking up.
Most of the riding we did was on this sort of dirt road, not technical but hilly enough to keep you on your toes.
To me travelling by bike is the best way to go, fast enough to cover lots of ground, slow enough to see the sights and hard enough to have to stop and jump in a creek occasionally.
