UPDATE ON MICHAEL'S DAD

It's been almost seven months since John Milton's accident but the good news is he will soon be going home.

John has already spent a weekend at the Milton family home on the NSW south coast experimenting with normal life and says he is almost ready to make the move permanent.

"Who knew that quick walk to the car that night in March would be an eight month round trip," quipped John from the rehabilitation centre in Ryde.

He hopes to be out of rehab in time for a trip to Thredbo mid-November to help celebrate the end of old friend Ron Finneran's time at the helm of Disabled WinterSport Australia.

John and wife Rosie have invested in a motor home which they plan to make good use of, travelling to dog competitions and to see family.
